First Responders are faced with traumatic experiences on a regular basis as part of their jobs. They have unique challenges that have a long term impact on their personal and professional lives. Collectively we have over 25 years experience working with this population. We specialize in trauma treatment with First Responders and EMS personnel and as well as their family members. We are certified and have extensive experience with Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and Crisis Management. We are certified with the IAFF Peer Support Training Program and act as peer support clinicians. Amy is the director of the Behavioral Health Program for the Professional Fire Fighters of Maine
Our focus is to help first responders heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing treatment. Many have experienced the healing effects of listening and being validated in the therapeutic environment. Amy is EMDR certified, CISD, a Certified Trauma Counselor as well as dually licensed with Maine and New Hampshire. Telehealth services are available. Face to Face sessions are available in Readfield, Maine. In addition to therapy services we provide connection to other vetted providers and resources. On site trainings are available. See download section for more details under Training and Consultation Services.
We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life in a stigma free environment. Behavioral health issues are a part of the job but you can learn healthy coping and increased resiliency.
