With 26 years of specialized experience in trauma treatment, Amy Davenport Dakin is the owner of New Perceptions, Inc., a practice dedicated to providing expert mental health counseling, education, and support for the first responder community and their families in Maine, New Hampshire and Wisconsin.

A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor since 2000 (in addition currently a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire and Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin), Amy Davenport Dakin earned a Master’s in Counselor Education from the University of Maine in 2000. Her extensive background includes treating various populations including teens and adults with a focus on trauma issues.

Amy Davenport Dakin holds certifications as a Certified First Responder Counselor, Certified Trauma Professional, and Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider. New Perceptions is focused on treating first responders, their families, providing vital behavioral health education, crisis intervention, and advocacy.
